Summary
This is an underwater workshop and photoshoot session for 1st time underwater muses. Underwater photography is an experimental form of photography that requires unique pre and post production work.
Notice: because we are working in “uncharted photographic territory” please reserve an art-like expectation to what we accomplish. I will provide catching and set expectations for what we can create; but the results will depend much on the weather, the atmosphere, the pool, your comfort of being underwater, and our equipment’s capabilities.
That being said … we will have a lot of fun creating something that is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.

Workshop Details
We will be working on the basics of underwater musing which includes …
- Relaxed facial expression; possibly the most important thing to achieve in this process.
- Underwater posing, shapes, and gliding positions
- “Fabric painting”
Deliverables (What You Get)
- 1 hour private underwater muse training by Christian Caballero.
- 6 digitally mastered photos web format (72 dpi) and small print format (300 dpi) of 1250px width photos.
- Style sheet showing other possible edits that can be created for $20 each.
Upgrades
- You can purchase 1 hour training before the day of the shoot.
- Additional edits are $20 each. A Style sheet will be sent to you where you can select from thumbnails.
- If you would like a different file format, please contact me to purchase larger files or optimized files.
- Video clips and 1 min video options are available. Contact me for prices.
When Will You Get The Deliverables?
Underwater photography editing is very challenging and time-consuming. Colors will need to be replaced and the scenes needs to be cleaned of any obstructive materials in the pool. Please expect your photos to be completed between 3-4 weeks. *We can speed up the editing process for an additional fee.
How To Prepare
Hair and Makeup
Being underwater naturally smoothes out your skin tone (and slims your body), so heavy makeup like concealer or base may not be needed. However, WATERPROOF lipstick, eyeliner, and eyeshadow look great.
Please do not style your hair into anything fancy. Leave it down and natural. IMPORTANT: Wash your hair before the shoot. This helps keep your hair light so that we can use it to create a sense of motion. If you do chose to style you hair (slightly) I would only recommend a very light curl that still has the ability to show motion underwater through it’s length.
Bathing Suit
I request that you have a solid colored bathing suit. Solid white works great and so does black. Please stay away from blues, greens, and busy patterns. We want to stay within a contrast color against the water’s blue, and heavy patterns seem to get lost in ripples and water waves.
Nudity
Nudity is possible if you have reserved a private pool that is closed off to the public.
Safety
- I will run through the standard underwater safety measure for each model.
- Participants should not have any illness or history of illness that will be a health risk to themselves or others.
- I will do my best to communicate every safety concern the best I can. It is also your job to voice any concerns you may have. You are not obligated to do anything you don’t feel safe doing. Communication is the best safety measure.
*by making payment you will have agreed to the model release, safety release form, and will not hold the photographer, his associates, or his company liable for any injury to yourself or property during this event.
Results
Underwater musing is a completely different form of modeling, which is why we hold workshops to train you on the basics. Because this is a training course, we can’t guarantee that your photos will turn out on the cover of vogue magazine. However, almost every past workshop has produced AMAZING photos. Fees
- The workshop and photo session is $550 if you can not provide a private pool.
- If you can provide a private pool with great lighting then the price drops down to $375
- These fees do not include any upgrades.
Model Release
In consideration of my engagement as a model, collaborator, participant, volunteer, or any other relationship with the Gentle Assassin production, and for other good and valuable consideration herein acknowledged as received, I hereby grant the following rights and permissions to Christian Caballero “Gentle Assassin” (“Photographer”), his legal representatives, and assigns, those for whom Photographer is acting, and those acting with his/her authority and permission. They have the irrevocable, perpetual and unrestricted right and permission to take, use, re-use, publish, and republish photographic portraits or pictures of me or in which I may be included, in whole or in part, or composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or alterations, in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or reproductions thereof in color or otherwise, made through any medium at his studios or elsewhere, and in any and all media now or hereafter known, specifically including but not limited to print media and distribution over the internet for illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever. I specifically consent to the digital compositing or distortion of the portraits or pictures, including without restriction any changes or alterations as to color, size, shape, perspective, context, foreground or background. I also consent to the use of any published matter in conjunction with such photographs. I hereby waive any right that I may have to inspect or approve the finished product or products and the advertising copy or other matter that may be used in connection with them or the use to which they may be applied. I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless Photographer, his legal representatives, and assigns, and all persons acting under his permission or authority or those for whom he is acting, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of such photographs or in any subsequent processing of them, as well as any publication of them, including without limitation any claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. I hereby warrant that I am of full age and have the right to contract in my own name. I have read the above authorization, release, and agreement, prior to its execution, and I am fully familiar with the contents of this document. This document shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. These terms apply to any past or future involvement.
Waiver of Liability
This agreement releases Maven Creatives, Christian Caballero, Sky Eyes Design, INC., and all associated production crew members, creative team members, location owners and collaborators from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during, before, or after production and on site. By making payment or signing this agreement, I agree to hold Christian Caballero, Sky Eyes Design, and all collaborators, team members, or property owners entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.
I also acknowledge the risks involved in this creative project. These include but are not limited to physical injuries and property damage. I swear that I am participating voluntarily. I do not have any conditions that will increase my likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity.
By signing below I forfeit all right to bring a suit against CMaven Creatives, Christian Caballero, Sky Eyes Design, INC., and all associated production crew members, creative team members, location owners and collaborators for any reason. In return, I will receive an opportunity to participate in future projects. I will also make every effort to obey safety precautions as explained to me verbally. I will ask for clarification when needed. These terms apply to any past or future involvement.
By making payment I have agreed to the Model Release and Waiver of Liability terms.
Participants are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
